JACOB, Ill. -- Ella Zerbst, 90, of Jacob, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro. She was born Aug. 5, 1904, in Horse Prairie, daughter of William and Anna Steufe Rowald. She and Herman F. Zerbst were married Aug. 21, 1941, in Red Bud. He died April 10, 1983...
JACOB, Ill. -- Ella Zerbst, 90, of Jacob, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.
She was born Aug. 5, 1904, in Horse Prairie, daughter of William and Anna Steufe Rowald. She and Herman F. Zerbst were married Aug. 21, 1941, in Red Bud. He died April 10, 1983.
Zerbst was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, and Jackson County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Zerbst of Murphysboro; a daughter, Ruby Ahner of Carbondale; two brothers, Albert Rowald of Chester, Walter Rowald of Mascoutah; a sister, Linda Kasten of Jackson, Mo.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Ava after 6 p.m. today, and at Christ Church after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Thomas E. Fast officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
