RAYTOWN -- Ella Marie Fornkohl Tidwell, 70, of Raytown and a native of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1929, the youngest of nine children. She was Miss Cape Girardeau in 1952 and remained in Cape Girardeau until 1966.
She lived the last 36 years in Raytown, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown.
She formerly had been married to V.R. "Jack" Tidwell.
She is survived by five daughters, Jacquelyn Williams of Kansas City, Beverly Eagan of Lee's Summit, and Mary Throneberry, Janet Tidwell and Linda Sword, all of Raytown; a son, Verlon Ray Tidwell Jr. of Lee's Summit; a sister, Mildred McMullin of Springfield, Ill.; a brother, T.A. Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Floral Hills Chapel.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Raytown. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
