Ella Lydia Pfeiffer, 95, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1900, in Frohna, daughter of Rudolph and Margaret Mangels Oswald. She and Oswald Pfeiffer were married Sept. 8, 1918. He died Aug. 15, 1991.
Pfeiffer moved to Cape Girardeau seven years ago from Shawneetown. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Shawneetown and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Pfeiffer of Gordonville, Leonard Pfeiffer of Jackson; two daughters, Helen Hecht of Shawneetown, Verna Schade of St. Ann; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Church in Shawneetown, with the Rev. Howard Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
