SCOTT CITY -- Elizabeth Sophronia Slinkard, 77, of Scott City died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 21, 1920, at Randles, daughter of August John and Elizabeth Clementine Menz Schlosser. She and William T. Slinkard were married Nov. 11, 1939, at Oran.
Slinkard was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Scott City, and Ladies Auxiliary of United Transportation Union.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, W.J. Slinkard of Kansas City, Bruce Slinkard of Dupo, Ill., Ronald Slinkard of St. Louis, Troy Slinkard of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Martha Ann Eifert of Scott City; a brother, J.A. "Joe" Schlosser of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ada Wendel of Scott City; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick- Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Jere Gowin and Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
