MAKANDA, Ill. -- Elizabeth Ross, 77, of Makanda, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at her home.
She was born June 2, 1928, in Womac, Ill., daughter of Arlie and Gladys Brown Smith. She and Bill "B.C." Ross were married July 31, 1948. He died Sept. 18, 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Betsy Dietz of Anna, Ill., Vickie Terry of Pinckneyville, Ill., Dixie Anderson of Carbondale, Ill.; a son, Jay Ross of Makanda; a brother, David Smith of Carterville, Ill.; a sister, Mary Louise Hargett of Marion, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and until service time Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James McEvers officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Makanda.
