Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Revelle-Perry, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of Adam and Rose Cousins Schaeffer. Elizabeth worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau more than 20 years. She also was a riverboat cook for Cargill Carriers until retiring in 1984...

Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Revelle-Perry, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 6, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of Adam and Rose Cousins Schaeffer.

Elizabeth worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau more than 20 years. She also was a riverboat cook for Cargill Carriers until retiring in 1984.

Elizabeth had a love for fishing, gardening and taking care of her family. Her last thoughts were of them and her loving dog, Dudley.

Survivors include her children, Patty (Dale) Livingston of Hillsboro, Mo., David (Yvette) Schaeffer of Moyock, N.C., Kim Revelle of Cape Girardeau, Karen Miller of Wytheville, Va., Jeff Revelle of Bismarck, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John L. Conway; a daughter, Christina Revelle; a brother; and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with Chris Ervin officiating.
