Elizabeth Jones

BENTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth Ann Jones, 56, of Benton died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at her home.

She was born April 8, 1947, at Charleston, Mo., daughter of George and Rita Elizabeth Sisk Vinson. She first married Morris Hale. She and Johnny Jones were married Jan. 27, 1993.

Jones was self-employed in home health care. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She moved to Benton in 2002 from Charleston.

Survivors include her husband of Charleston; seven sons, Allen, Kontrell, Paul and Tommy Hale, all of Benton, Nathan Hale of Champaign, Ill., William Hale of Sikeston, Wayne Hale of St. Louis; a daughter, Cynthia Crowden of Benton; a stepson, John Paul Jones of Charleston; four brothers, Jerry Dale Vinson of East Prairie, Mo., Lawrence Vinson of Wyatt, Mo., Jesse and Tony Vinson of Charleston; three sisters, Bertha Hedge of Charleston, Linda Vinson of East Prairie, Donna Vinson of Wyatt; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

There is no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Unity Baptist Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Benton is in charge of arrangements.
