ELIZABETH BOWLES

Elizabeth Bowles, 80, of 803 S. Ellis, died Monday, Jan. 10, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1913, at Logan, W.Va., daughter of Floyd and Laura Thornsberry Farris.

She married Frank D. Bowles in 1930, at Flag, W.Va. He died June 6, 1987.

Bowles was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include a son, Sidney Bowles of Cape Girardeau; six daughters, Christina Chapman of Farmington, Mo., Jenny Wainscott of Lafayette, Ind., Phyllis Grubbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carrie Shaw of Simi Valley, Calif., Patty Desher of Boone, Iowa, Sandy Smith of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Maude Mullins of Logan, W.Va.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three daughters, three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to the time of funeral services Wednesday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
