Elizabeth Balser

BRAZEAU, Mo. -- Elizabeth Louise "Betty Lou" Balser, 76, of Tulsa, Okla., died June 29, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 16, 1926, at Brazeau, daughter of Edwin and Fern Knox. She and Richard L. Balser were married March 6, 1954.

Balser was a graduate of Perryville High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She worked with Missouri Public Health Department, and had been manager of the laboratory in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Barbara McCarty, Becky and Beth Balser, all of Tulsa; a brother, Charles Knox of New Orleans, La.; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brazeau Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Tom Bass will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
