Elinore Pauline Murray, 65, of Greencastle, Ind., died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at her home. She was born March 6, 1938, in Petersburg, Pa., daughter of Russell I. and Kathleen R. Steele Walker. She and Lynn C. Murray were married Aug. 15, 1964. Mrs. Murray was a graduate of Brazil, Ind., High School. She had worked at Eitel's Flowers, P.R. Mallory's, and in the clerk's, treasurer's and microfilm departments at Putnam County Courthouse. She was a member of the Lutheran Church...

Elinore Pauline Murray, 65, of Greencastle, Ind., died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at her home.

She was born March 6, 1938, in Petersburg, Pa., daughter of Russell I. and Kathleen R. Steele Walker. She and Lynn C. Murray were married Aug. 15, 1964.

Mrs. Murray was a graduate of Brazil, Ind., High School. She had worked at Eitel's Flowers, P.R. Mallory's, and in the clerk's, treasurer's and microfilm departments at Putnam County Courthouse. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael D. Ashworth and wife, Mary, of Detroit, Mich., Richard N. Murray and friend, Margaret Osborn, of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Melanie McDaniel and fiance, Timothy W. Gutwein, of Cape Girardeau; a sister, JoAnn Allen and husband, Tom, of Brazil; a brother, Edwin Walker and wife, Peg, of Brazil; a granddaughter, MacKenzie C. McDaniel; 10 nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ellen Tiefel and Marjorie Walker; and a brother, Gary Walker.

Friends may call at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Barber officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
