JONESBORO, Ill. Electa Coe, 93, of Hudson, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, in Hudson.
She was born June 2, 1904, in Jonesboro, daughter of Dr. Andrew Jackson and Sarah P. Corzine Lyerly. She first married Lawrence J. Whittington, who preceded her in death. She later married Theodore Coe, who also preceded her in death.
Coe was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. She had worked at Cal-Tech in Pasadena, Calif., was director with Red Feather in Springfield, and retired from Social Security Administration.
She was a member of Eastview Christian Church in Bloomington. She was a former member of Sweet Adelines and Toastmistress Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Hanson of Hudson; a stepdaughter, Joan Rowell; a stepson, Richard Coe; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
