Eleanor Marie McGuffey Bolton, 78 years of age of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1920 in Chaffee, the daughter of the late Frank and Pearle Ligion Finney Schriner McGuffey.
She married Kenneth W. Bolton on June 26, 1940 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1990. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University in 1972.
She was a retired English teacher at Chaffee High School and Notre Dame High School in Biloxi, Mississippi.
She was a member of Fatina Catholic Church in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was also a member of Biloxi Seniors for the Arts and Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Kennalea Bolton Pratt, Springfield, MO; Keri Bolton Van Sickle, Locust, Grove, GA; 3 granddaughters; Stephanie Pratt, Springfield, MO; Kristin Pratt Stiles, Richmond Hill, GA; Meredith Van Sickle, Locust Grove, GA; 2 great grandchildren; Emily and Kalem Stiles, Richmond Hill, GA . and 2 beloved sister-in-laws; Natalie Hipes and Kathleen Hampton of Chaffee, MO.Visitation will be at 5 pm Monday, November 30, 1998 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, December 1, 1998 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with Monsignor Ed Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, MO.
