Eleanor Estelle Best, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Utica, N.Y., daughter of Arthur F. and Ada H. Peck Vining. She and Jack Brownley Best were married July 18, 1936, in Milford Pike County, Pa. He died June 19, 1963.
Best was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Cargle of Dexter, Mo.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anselm Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
