GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Eldon Frederick Woodfin, 82, of Glenallen passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 5, 1934, near Lutesville, Missouri, he was the son of Robert Lee and Opal Edith Francis Woodfin. On Sept 4, 1954, he married Loma Loris Deck at Lutesville. She survives.

Eldon was a gifted mechanic. He was a mechanic on International farm equipment for many years at Crader Equipment in Marble Hill, Missouri. In 1987, he opened a small-engine repair shop in Glenallen, where he sold and repaired Stihl products until retiring in 2003. He was a longtime member of Little Valley Independent Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Stan (Pam) Woodfin of Marble Hill; a daughter, Loris (Ron) Lincoln, of Glenallen; a brother, Gail (Woody) Woodfin of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Hazel Garner of Advance, Missouri, and Darlene Kirkpatrick of O'Fallon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Little Valley Independent Baptist Church near Marble Hill. Revs Jim and T.J. Null will officiate. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery.
