ELDON EDWARDS

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Eldon Wyley Edwards, 45, of East Prairie died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Aug. 29, 1954, in East Prairie, son of Edsel Wyley and Katherine V. Talley Edwards. He and Phyllis Diane Russell were married March 12, 1985.

A resident of East Prairie most of his life, Edwards was a retired self-employed painter.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Joseph Russell of Burlington, Iowa, Christopher Russell of Cape Girardeau, Matthew Penix of Florida; a daughter, LaDonna Phillips of East Prairie; his mother of East Prairie; a brother, Steven Edwards of Midwest City, Okla.; a sister, Joyce Adams of Paducah, Ky.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie from 10 a.m. to noon today.

There is no funeral scheduled.
