ZALMA, Mo. -- Eldo L. Eaker, 93, of Zalma passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born July 19, 1921, at Sank, Missouri, son of Melvin Andrew and Elizabeth Hawn Eaker. He and Lucy Belle Shell were married April 30, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas.
Eldo was a lifelong farmer. He was pastor at several General Baptist churches, retiring from Berrong General Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War 11.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Eaker; a son, Mitchell (Marsha) Eaker of Marble Hill, Missouri; two sisters, Melba Elledge of Advance and Reva Collins of Marble Hill; two grandchildren, Ashley Sitze and Andrea Waterbury; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Kolten Sitze.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Fay Eaker; two brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Revs. Ray Placher and LeeRoy Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
