FARRAR, Mo. -- Elda C. Mangels, 76, of Farrar died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Mo.
She was born Sept. 28, 1925, in Uniontown, Mo., to Karl "Charles" and Elsa Bultmann Kasten. She was married to Walter E. Mangels on Nov. 24, 1946.
She was a homemaker and worked 27 years in the dietary department at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Salem Ladies Aid and Salem Senior Servants in Farrar, the Lutheran Home Auxiliary and LWML and the Farrar Extension Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Lowell Mangels of Friedheim, Mo.; four daughters, Marci Preusser of Altenburg, Mo., Kris Wille of Jackson, Mo., Karen Lyon of St. Louis and Patty Callier of Farrar; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and 6:30-8 a.m. Friday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
