CAIRO, Ill. -- Elbert D. Foster, 65, of Cairo died Monday, March 3, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Tamms, Ill., son of Harry and Lucille Boone Foster.
Foster attended Love Joy High School in Mound City, Ill.
Survivors include five sisters, Odessa Melson, Mildred McNally and Charlene Mitchell, all of California; Evelyn Williams of Cairo, Linda Boone of Gary, Ind.; five brothers, Issac, Willie and Johnny Foster, all of Gary, Frank Foster of Mexico, and Donald Boone of Tamms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. James Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Garden at Villa Ridge, Ill.
Massie Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
