Elaine Mary Bolen, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1930, in East Moline, Ill., to Marcellus Thomas and Regina Mary Renner Hoffman.
Elaine graduated from St. Mary High School in 1948.
She and James Frederick Bolen were married Nov. 5, 1955, at Cape Girardeau. He died May 8, 2010.
Mrs. Bolen had worked for Saint Francis Medical Center and for Griffith Company Surgical Supply.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane A. (Mark) Clayton of San Antonio; son Kyle M. (Brenda) Bolen of Cottage Hills, Ill.; grandchildren Nicholas Bolen, McKenzie Clayton and Duncan Clayton; sisters Mary Jane Burke and Betty Griffith of Cape Girardeau and Ruby Price of Kaneohe, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Wilbert Hoffman, Norman Hoffman and Stephen Hoffman, and sister Judy Renner.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating.
Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
