SCOTT CITY -- Eileen Alwine Emilie Sprenger, 83, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 13, 1917, at Illmo, daughter of William George and Pauline E. Eifert Sander. She and Harold E. Sprenger were married March 24, 1940, at Illmo...

SCOTT CITY -- Eileen Alwine Emilie Sprenger, 83, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 13, 1917, at Illmo, daughter of William George and Pauline E. Eifert Sander. She and Harold E. Sprenger were married March 24, 1940, at Illmo.

Sprenger had been a seamstress at Ely Walker Co. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Heraleen Bowers of Scott City; a brother, Elroy Sander of Pierron, Ill.; eight sisters, Lillian Little and Lavern Wolfe of Scott City, Geraldine Anselm of Springfield, Geneva Seyer of High Ridge, Wanda McCord of Hillsboro, Betty Goodman of Fenton, Marilyn Graham of O'Fallon, Jacqueline Metzger of Wright City; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday at Eisleben Church from 9 a.m. until service time.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
