Eileen Nall, 89, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.
Eileen was born Jan. 8, 1924, at Naylor, Mo., to Joseph Henry and Iva Mae Scates Armour. She graduated from Naylor High School in 1941. Eileen and John Allen Nall were married Jan. 31, 1943, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Feb. 25 2008.
Mrs. Nall worked for the Dailey American Republic newspaper in Poplar Bluff and retired in 1984 from the Missouri Natural Gas Co., moving to Cape Girardeau in 2003.
Eileen was a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church in Cape Girardeau and longtime former member of the First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff, where she was active in music as a member of the chancel choir, director of the hand bell choir and pianist for the men's Bible class. She also was active with the children's and teens' ministries.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Anita) Nall of Cape Girardeau and Dennis (Sandra) Nall of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Susie Nall of St. Louis; two brothers, J.C. Armour of Doniphan, Mo., and Wayne Armour of Naylor; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her son, Bruce Nall; two sisters, Bernice Moutrie and Marie Wise; and one brother, Bob Armour.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fowler-Sullivan chapel, with Charles Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at the Naylor Memorial Cemetery in Naylor.
