PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eileen M. Mattingly, 79, of Perryville died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Independence Care Center.

She was born Dec. 30, 1933, in Perryville, daughter of Wallace E. and Anna Marie Moore Wood.

She married Alvin J. Mattingly Feb. 23, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2011.

Eileen was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer, Mo.

Survivors include four daughters, Susan (Bob) Mattingly of St. Mary, Mo., Helen (Danny) Huber of Cape Girardeau, Polly (Mike) Boxdorfer of Perryville and Peggy (Mike) James of Chester, Ill.; three sisters, Pat Jokerst, Carol (Clyde) Mattingly and Kay Fuhrmann, all of Perryville; two brothers, Paul (Mae) Wood of Perryville and Joe Wood of Aurora, Mo.; seven grandchildren, David Mattingly, Stephanie Kester, Shaun Boxdorfer, Cody Boxdorfer, Jill Cesla, Laura Buchheit and Jessie James; and eight great-grandchildren, Emma and Luke Mattingly, Melanie and Maecy Boxdorfer, Abby and Meghan Kester, Chelsea Crafton and Taylor Buchheit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one infant brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Family Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Association or American Lung Association.
