SIKESTON, Mo. -- E.H. "Sonny" Pullen, 86, formerly of Diehlstadt, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
He was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Mississippi County, son of Alfred Edwin and Arto Oakley Pullen. He had lived in Mississippi County his entire life. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Charleston, Mo., and was a self-employed truck driver.
He and Wanda Lee Hurley were married Jan. 25, 1940; she died Aug. 9, 1983.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry and Jim Pullen, both of Sikeston, Ronnie and Douglas Pullen, both of Diehlstadt; a daughter, Jo Ann Weaver of Livingston, Texas; a sister, Leona Coleman of Union City, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Revs. Jim Malugen and Bill Meeks officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
