BERTRAND -- Effie Pearl Ezzell, 88, of Bertrand, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1992, at her home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1903, in Belgreen, Ala., daughter of William Benjamin and Georgia Shewbart Mitchell. She married Charles V. Ezzell Aug. 22, 1926, in Russellville. He died June 8, 1989.
Ezzell was a member of James Chapel Baptist Church in Russellville.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Ezzell of Jackson, James Ezzell of Bertrand, Jack Ezzell of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Joyce McKinley of Bertrand, Jeanette Kalman and Betty Gilbert of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.
A prayer service was held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel Thursday, with the Rev. Robert Burke officiating.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay, Ala. The Rev. Eugene Digby will officiate, with burial in Dempsey Cemetery near Red Bay.
