Effie Mae Willeford, 89, 1340 W. Cape Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1995, at her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1905, at Thebes, Ill., the daughter of George and Annie Thompson Harvell. She married Ernest Willeford on Aug. 22, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1988...

Effie Mae Willeford, 89, 1340 W. Cape Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1995, at her home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1905, at Thebes, Ill., the daughter of George and Annie Thompson Harvell. She married Ernest Willeford on Aug. 22, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1988.

Willeford was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelia Haman of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lavada Vincent of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Kendal Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
