Edwina "Edy" Romine, 77, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

She was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Roy and Velma Nixon Rowe.

Edy was a member of First Baptist Church of Nashville. She enjoyed all church activities and was a strong southern Christian lady all her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jay Romine.

Survivors include a son, Deriel Romine and wife Joann of Washington, Arkansas; a daughter, Lisa Romine of Conway, Arkansas; a sister, Barbara Vance of Pearl, Mississippi; a brother, Scott Rowe of St. Louis; three granddaughters, Kristi Romine, Katrina Romine May and Kaylin Romine; and three very special great-grandchildren, Jay Tanner May, Jackson Cooper May and Aunna Lynn Romine.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and watching the Scrappers play whichever sport was in season. If she was not volunteering at the hospital and working in the gift shop, she was hanging out with her very dear friends and playing cards.

She was loved much and will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nashville Funeral Home.

The service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Nashville. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Tribute Department, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38198 in memory of Edwina Romine.
