EDWIN J. VOGEL

FROHNA -- Edwin J. "Ebs" Vogel, 68, of Frohna, died Wednesday, June 23, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 19, 1925, at Frohna, son of Carl and Emma Bergt Vogel. He and Vera Petzoldt were married Aug. 27, 1949.

Vogel was a lumber inspector at East Perry Lumber Co. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, its Men's Club and choir; American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282, and Frohna Recreation Club. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Brenda Musser of Etiwanda, Calif., Sarah Ruessler of Perryville; two sons, Charles "Tony" Vogel of Crestwood, Mark Vogel of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Vernon and Marvin "Jim" Vogel; a sister, Vera Stueve, all of the state of California, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Church. The Rev. Luther Herman will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-8 a.m. Saturday. The American Legion will have a wake at 7 tonight.
