Edward E. "Bud" Wolfe, 78, of Amarillo, Texas, died Friday, March 29, 1996, at the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 17, 1917, in Marianna, Ark. He and Louise Williams had been married 56 years. Wolfe was a retired district executive with Gulf Oil Co. He was a member of Amarillo Lions Club, and lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II...

Edward E. "Bud" Wolfe, 78, of Amarillo, Texas, died Friday, March 29, 1996, at the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo, following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 17, 1917, in Marianna, Ark. He and Louise Williams had been married 56 years.

Wolfe was a retired district executive with Gulf Oil Co. He was a member of Amarillo Lions Club, and lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son E.E. Wolfe Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa.; a daughter, Karen Crandell of Houston, Texas; a sister, Lillian Ritter of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside service will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark.
