Edward Abraham Rovner, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1951, at Brooklyn, N.Y., son of Harold and Beatrice Strauss Rovner. He and E. Roberta Nafalski were married May 4, 1996, at Oneonta, N.Y.
Rovner grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1996 from Monticello, N.Y. He was a truck driver for Allied Van Lines and Swift Transportation. He was a Salvation Army bell ringer for 17 years. He worked as a cab driver for Kelly Transportation for five years and had his own business, Heavenly Delivery Service, for two years. He was a member of Thy Will Be Done Ministry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Anthony and Michael Miller of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Anita Nocera of Cape Girardeau and Erika Miller of Oxford, N.Y.; a brother, Louis Rovner of Orlando, Fla.; a half sister from Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Amber and Crystal Glassmire.
Friends may call at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street funeral home from 10 a.m. till noon on Wednesday.
Funeral will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home with Major Robert Gauthier officiating.
