MOUNDS, Ill. -- Edward W. Raub, 97, of Norfork, Ark., formerly of Mounds and Olive Branch, Ill., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Home, Ark.
He was born Sept. 29, 1916, in Mounds, son of the late Edward and Sarah Travers Raub. He married the former Delores Ann Honey, who died Jan. 14, 2011.
Edward attended the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill. He retired as a cashier from the First State Bank of Mounds.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Michael E. Raub of Champaign, Ill.; and a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Raub (Michael) Womack of Norfork.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds, with the Rev. Chris Mujule officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to the donor's favorite charity in memory of Mr. Raub.
