EDWARD R. PARR

BERTRAND -- Edward R. "Eddie" Parr, 47, of Bertrand, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born May 8, 1945, in Cairo, Ill., son of Willis Edward and Merle O'Guin Parr. He and Linda Jones were married April 7, 1970.

Parr was an engineer with Crounse Barge Co. of Paducah, Ky. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Dana Finley of Wyatt, Amy Manning and Tracy Parr of the home; his mother, Merle Nipper of Tonopah, Nev.; a brother, Darrell Parr of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Linda Lawton of Fallon, Nev.; paternal grandmother, Sue Parr of Sikeston, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Revs. Jim Romine and Larry Stephenson will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
