SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Edward M. Swan, Sikeston Route 3, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles E. Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Swan, 83, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 27, 1911, in Marion, Ill., son of Phillip J. and Martha Ann West Swan. He and Mildred Louise Taylor were married July 23, 1932, in Vienna, Ill. She died March 18, 1985.
Swan was an auto mechanic and air plane machinist. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, board member and secretary of Sikeston Senior Citizens nutrition program, and a volunteer with the nutrition and bus system.
Survivors include four nieces, JoAnne Williams of Memphis, Tenn., Bernetta Hill of Crab Orchard, Ill., Linda Meyer of Arnold, Pat Montgomery of Benton, Ill., and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
