Edward Lohmann

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Edward O. Lohmann, 79, of Perryville died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, near Farrar, Missouri.

He was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Farrar, son of Otto and Edna Roth Lohmann. He and Bernice M. Versemann were married Aug. 10, 1963. She preceded him in death Nov. 24, 1997.

Edward was a retired dairy, livestock and agriculture farmer. He also was a SMTS bus driver and school-bus driver for Meyer Bus Line. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Salem Men's Club and LLL Dart ball.

Survivors include three sons, Wayne Lohmann, Brian Lohmann and David (Christi Lynn) Lohmann, all of Farrar; one sister and two brothers, Alice (Elmer) Hecht of Altenburg, Missouri, Delbert (Carol) Lohmann of St. Louis and Dennis (Sandy) Lohmann of Perryville; a brother-in-law, Barney Schlichting of Wittenberg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Courtney, Clayton and Dalton Lohmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Arleen Schlichting.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

He then will be taken to Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar for service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
