JACKSON -- Edward "Dick" Laramore, 68, Jackson Route 7, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1924, at Potosi, son of Walter and Anna Raymer Laramore. He and Lydia Lappe Schwalb were married in 1945. He later married Geraldine King Lunsford in 1972...

JACKSON -- Edward "Dick" Laramore, 68, Jackson Route 7, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Nov. 13, 1924, at Potosi, son of Walter and Anna Raymer Laramore. He and Lydia Lappe Schwalb were married in 1945. He later married Geraldine King Lunsford in 1972.

Laramore was a truck driver with various trucking companies, retiring in 1965 from Bellman Freight Lines in St. Louis, because of ill health. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Laramore of Red Bud, Ill., Michael Laramore of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Dixie Clayton of Lake St. Louis, Joyce Hundley of Waterloo, Ill.; four stepsons, Nelson King, Tony, Jerry and Ricky Lunsford of Jackson; four stepdaughters, Brenda Sides, Sue Stinson, June Ruppel and Debbie McCain of Jackson; a sister, Goldie Wilson of Centerville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren, and three great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and nine brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Don Slaten will officiate, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Fruitland.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
