Edward L. Boardman, 88, 2850 Whitener, died Monday, Sept. 9, 1991, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
He was born May 10, 1903, in Evansville, Ind., son of Edward Lewis and Emma Louise Daisy Boardman. He and Ruby Pearl Trousdale were married June 1, 1924, at Bertrand. She died Dec. 6, 1990.
Boardman was service manager and salesman with Chevrolet dealerships in Sikeston 57 years. He also taught a mechanics class in the adult education program at Sikeston High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, and served on its administrative board.
Survivors include three sons, John Boardman of Cape Girardeau, Earl Boardman of Lexington, Ky., David Boardman of Caruthersville; a brother, Elzie Boardman of Sikeston; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Charles E. Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery there.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.
