CHARLESTON -- Edward Joseph Bruenderman, 74, of Charleston died Wednesday, June 12, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 2, 1917, at Texas Bend in Mississippi County, the son of Bernard Joseph and Loise Renaud Bruenderman. On July 4, 1939, he married Regina Carlisle, who survives of the home.

He had lived in Mississippi County his entire life. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston and was employed with Brown Shoe Co. and Reliable Life Insurance Co. until his retirement in 1980.

Other survivors include two sons, Richard Bruenderman of Warrenton and Fred Bruenderman of Sikeston; three daughters, Mary Jane Hart of Cape Girardeau, Rita Farber of Memphis, Tenn. and Jeanne Moxley of Lincoln, Neb.; four brothers, Raymond Bruenderman of Cape Girardeau, Robert Bruenderman of Charleston, Leo Bruenderman of Benton and Bernard Bruenderman of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mary Lou Newcomb of rural Charleston and Bernice Keen of Charleston; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Funeral mass was held Saturday at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston, with Fr. Raymond Kunkel officiating. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
