CAIRO, Ill. -- Edward S. Hill Jr., 80, of Dallas, formerly of Cairo, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Walnut Place Long Term Care Facility in Dallas.
He was born Dec. 10, 1925, son of Edward S. and Pauline Feutz Hill.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He attended Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center in Cairo and retired from Texas Instruments.
Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Bailey of Magnolia, Mass.; a son, Richard Hill of Marlborough, N.H.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Grace Rodgers Hill and Sharla Boyd Hill.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will at 2 p.m. today at Cairo City Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill., with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating.
Barkett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
