MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Edward "Eddie" Andrew Graham, 80, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Thomas "Mike" Edward Graham and Geneva C. Baker. MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Edward "Eddie" Andrew Graham, 80, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at his home.

He was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Thomas "Mike" Edward Graham and Geneva C. Baker.

Eddie was the third-generation owner of Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill until selling the funeral home in 1983. He was elected Bollinger County coroner and served from 1969 to 1973. At the end of that term, he was elected Bollinger County sheriff, serving from 1972 to 1980.

Eddie was a graduate of Lutesville High School in Lutesville, Missouri. Upon completion of high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force and served as a ground-radar operator. He was honorably discharged from the service and then attended the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, where he graduated with high honors. He became particularly good at reconstruction.

Eddie attained the position of 32nd-degree Mason, belonging to Trowel Lodge 440 for 50 years.

There were few things he loved more than Cardinal baseball and playing golf.

Eddie is survived by his sons, Edward Andrew (Lorie) Graham II of Marble Hill and John William Martin Jr. of Fenton, Missouri. Also surviving are Jean Brown of the home and her family; a sister, Jo Lynne (Steve) Lambert of Dexter, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Don Reeves of Fenton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings (formerly Baker) Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Masonic rites will be performed at 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. John Englehart presiding. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery with military honors.
