Edward E. Kasten, 84, 227 Camellia, died Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 14, 1907, at Shawneetown, son of Henry J. and Maria P. Boern Kasten. He and Olga Sperling were married July 22, 1928, in Cape Girardeau.
Kasten was a shoe cutter at International Shoe Co. 51 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene Kasten of Belleville, Ill., Jerry Kasten of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ann Hickam of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Walter Kasten of Jackson; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Church. The Rev. David V. Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
