Funeral service for Edward C. Mullins of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Mullins, 85, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1907, in Alta Vista, Kan., son of Edward J. and Susie R. Davis Mullins. He and Rose K. Wittrock were married Sept. 20, 1926, in Alta Vista.
Mullins worked 10 years for Southeast Missouri Telephone Co. He worked 35 years with Missouri Utilities Co., retiring in 1972 as line foreman. He was a member of Hanover Church, Lutheran Laymen's League, charter member of the Men's Club, and had served as president of the congregation and served on the Board of Evangelism.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jo Ella Ryan of Naperville, Ill., Jo Ann Crader and Edda Lee Wittich of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
