Edward P. Arnoldi Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, following an extended illness.
He was born July 1, 1919, in Cape Girar-deau, and lived here until moving to Florida. He was a resident of St. James City, Fla., from 1996-1999 and then resided at Coral Trace Nursing Home in Cape Coral, Fla.
Arnoldi and Helen Ruth Ellis were married June 1, 1940. She died in July 1991.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Edward P. Arnoldi Jr. of Coppell, Texas; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Arnoldi and Vincent Arnoldi of Coppell, Amy Camille Gessmann of St. James City; three great-grandchildren, Clayton, Kayla and Caleb of St. James City.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
