BRAZEAU, Mo. -- Edna S. Weinhold, 92, of Brazeau died Monday, July 11, 2011, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Altenburg, Mo., daughter of Alfred C. and Theresia Hunt Meinz. She and Oscar Weinhold were married Dec. 26, 1942. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1974.
Mrs. Weinhold was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church at Frohna, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne (Melvin) Kassel of St. Charles, Mo.; a son, Gary (Kim) Weinhold of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters, Lorna (Edward) Bohnert of Altenburg, Mabel Wilke of St. Louis; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude Hacker of Cape Girardeau, Irene Gerdes of Washington, Mo.; six grandchildren, Kirk and Kraig (Dana) Kassel, Kari (Dan) Eck, Jamie (Penny) and Matthew Weinhold, Leslie Weinhold (John) Stone; two stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Collin McMahon; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kaitlyn and Mason Kassel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers, Rudolph, Henry, Edwin, Curt, Ellis and Floyd Meinz; and two sisters, Concordia Voepel and Erna Frentzel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church or charity of choice.
