SIKESTON -- Edna Lee Odom, 87, of New Madrid, died Monday, July 29, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born June 20, 1909, in Harmony, Ark., daughter of John C. and Lura Elizabeth Pryor Mason. She and Argus L. "Dick" Odom were married Jan. 8, 1926, in Harmony. He died March 24, 1980.
Odom had been a licensed practical nurse at Missouri Delta Medical Center, and was a private duty nurse. She also helped in the family operation of general merchandise stores in New Madrid County.
She attended First United Methodist Church in New Madrid.
Survivors include a son, Vaughn Odom of New Madrid; two daughters, Wanda Freeman of Hobart, Ind., Dixie Rhodes of Crown Point, Ind.; two brothers, Otto Allen of Phoenix, Ariz., Adren Allen of Hobart; a sister, Angerie Hardgrave of Farrenburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jon Thompson officiating.
