Funeral for Edna Ruth Miller of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Dr. Clayton L. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5:30-8 p.m. today.
Miller, 88, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1911, at Crosnoe, daughter of Ralph A. and Bertha M. Hicks Boyd. She married James F. Miller in 1934. He died Nov. 8, 1981.
Miller was a secretary 32 years, having worked at Cape Girardeau Public Schools, Gideon Schools, and Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, James Miller of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Mae Marshall of Jackson, Deema Atteberry of Charleston, Mo.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
