Edna Anna Kirchhoff, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Egypt Mills, to Charles H. and Lillie Gerlach Maevers. Edna Anna Kirchhoff, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Egypt Mills, to Charles H. and Lillie Gerlach Maevers. She and Glenn V. Kirchhoff were married Aug. 4, 1940, at Egypt Mills. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 2010.

Edna was a graduate of the former College High School. She was a bookkeeper at Jim Wilson Co. 21 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Senior Aid and the Quilting Group since 1976. She held the office of secretary and treasurer. She was also a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Dykes of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Vicki Spain of Battlefield, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jay Brian Roth of Willard, Mo., Gina Spain of San Diego and Aaron Spain of Fort Benning, Ga.; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Austad, Brayden and Barrett Roth, and Austin, Kylee and Annabelle Spain.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Carl and Earl Maevers; and two sisters, Lillian Heise and Erma Maevers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund.
