Edna Mae Crader, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Gravel Hill to the late Arthur LeRoy and Anna Francis Siebert Noel. Edna married Roby J. Brown, and to that union three children were born, Gary, Brad and Brenda. She later married Joe F. Crader on Sept. 24, 1966, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 2002...

Edna Mae Crader, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Gravel Hill to the late Arthur LeRoy and Anna Francis Siebert Noel.

Edna married Roby J. Brown, and to that union three children were born, Gary, Brad and Brenda. She later married Joe F. Crader on Sept. 24, 1966, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 2002.

In her early working years, Edna worked for Ralph Edwards and Florsheim Shoe Company and babysat out of her home.

She attended Gravel Hill Church. Edna loved country music and enjoyed attending Fanfare in Nashville for many years. She loved kids and dogs, preferably shih szus. Her family is certain that Buffy, Skip, Cooky, Taffy and Penny greeted her at the rainbow bridge with happy barks and slobbery kisses.

Survivors include three children, Brenda, Gary E. and Brad J. Brown, all of Cape Girardeau; two stepdaughters, Vicki (Clayton) Phelps and Linda Crader; brother, Daniel (Janice) Noel; sister, Mary Noel; two grandsons, Bryan Brown and Garet Garner; and one great-grandson on the way.

Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, Roby J. Brown in 2011; second husband, Joe F. Crader in 2002; brothers, Will and Harry Noel; and sisters, Bertha Noel and Ellen Greene.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or Southeast Missouri Pets.
