JACKSON -- Edna Mae Brugger, 86, of Jackson passed away Sunday, April 9, 2000, at the Monticello House in Jackson. Friends may call Monday between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Parish Prayers will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Jackson, followed by interment in Russell Heights Cemetery. Monsignor Edward Eftink will officiate.
Mrs. Brugger was born July 17, 1913, in Scott City, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Anna Peetz Sanders. On June 2, 1936, she married Leo Brugger. He passed away June 9, 1978.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Donna Brugger of Smithland, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Pat Horrell of Jackson and June and Charles Brown of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Wilma Brugger of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Gladys Sanders of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Brugger, a brother, two sisters and a great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Brugger had been a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson since 1936 and also a member of the St. Ann's Sodality.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund.
