Edna Mae Baker, 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born July 19, 1913, in Elsinore, daughter of Monroe and Radie O'Howell Rhodes. She and Leeman P. Baker were married Jan. 9, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 21, 1986.

Baker was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Norman, Hobart and Butch Baker of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sue Gleason of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Wanda Break of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Howell of Caddo Mills, Texas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren, and nine great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
