Edna B. Kassel, 95, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Jan. 30, 1896, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Winston and Amanda Kallas Boyce.
She married Louis Kassel on June 5, 1916, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 3, 1984.
She was a lifetime resident of Cape Girardeau and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Cape Girardeau Garden Club, a lifetime member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri and an avid square dancer.
Survivors are one nephew, Dr. Dan Cotner, Cape Girardeau; three nieces, Jean Stewart, Columbia, Margaret McGrath, Jupiter, Fla. and Nancy Widdefield, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother-in-law, Oliver Kassel, Warrensburg; a sister-in-law, Claire Scates, Jackson; and a friend, Betty Williamson, Jackson.
Two sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call today from 4-6 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Service will be Monday at 11:15 a.m. at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn chapel with the Rev. Carl Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
