Edith M. Wiblin White, 83, formerly of Summersville, W.Va., and Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008.
She was born Sept. 18, 1924, daughter of John Melvin and Minnie Butler Wills. Edith and Clarence O. Wiblin were married in 1940. He died in 1975. She and Elijah White were married in 1994 in Pine Bluff. He passed away in 2005.
Mrs. White was a former member of Worldwide Church of God, and in past years the Shepherd's Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence S. (Norma) Wiblin of Rutherfordton, N.C., Claude (Priscilla) Wiblin of Crownsville, Md.; two daughters, Roseann Sikes of Weston, W.Va., Lula (Charles) DeFelice of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also three stepsons, Phillip White, Rupert (Joann) White and Rickey (Betty) White, all of Arkansas; two brothers, Estel (Phyllis) Wills, Eddie (Geneva) Wills; a sister, Evelyn Dorsey of West Virginia; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgel and Eugene, and a grandchild.
A graveside service was held Sept. 8 at Walker Memorial Park in Summersville.
White Funeral Home in Summersville was in charge of arrangements in West Virginia.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
